New Zealand (also known as Aotearoa) is a small island nation located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. With a population of just under 5 million people, it is a perfect place to live. This country has managed to preserve its unique cultural heritage while embracing the modern world. This essay will discuss the history, tourism, and sports sectors of Aotearoa.

-The treaty of Waitangi-
A guy named james cook was traveling around the ocean and found a tribe…the maori tribe, and as he set foot on the island he began to investigate the island only to see a war (until many years later) the british people decided to make a truce with the maori people and as 1 by one they made the treaty of Waitangi many and many chiefs around Aotearoa where talking about signing the treaty and that’s how both the british and maori people became friends

-Skytower-
So as many as you can count to one hundred is as tall as the sky tower! (I think) some of us can be really curious about what inside the sky tower looks like…and here is a fact! The sky tower is 328 meters tall! (not to be nerdy)
-Food-
Hungry for food in New Zealand? Well look no further! We have the best pies in the world! And now you can come over for a little tour in the cafes. We have pies, pizza and whatever you can name!
-Maori culture-
So as you can see the title it is pretty clear that the Maori people aren’t afraid to defend their culture, most of them are known for their respect of there
-Kapa haka-
So as we all know the maori people (especially the french people) they do something called “hakas” to intimidate there opponents and there oppositions (pretty much whoever they fight)

-All blacks-
So as we all know, New zealand has been supported by the All Blacks in every way possible! (including the warriors) so from this point onwards lets see what the all blacks have in common!
So the all blacks have a big history in rugby and were mostly known as the best rugby team (because why not?) And that they respect their culture by doing a Haka to whoever their opposing team is.
Most blacks from other countries would always play the “Ka Mate” haka because it’s no joke for anyone else.
-Warriors-
So like I said in the start they are both respected teams, the warriors respect each other and their opponents (unlike my teacher)
So as we can all think of the Warriors, we can all agree that they are the best of the best this year!
In conclusion, this essay has examined New Zealand, it’s history, with important things like the Treaty of Waitangi and Matariki; its awesome tourist spots, like the Sky Tower and trying hangi food; and its super strong sports teams, like the All Blacks and Silver Ferns. All of these things show how New Zealand keeps its old traditions alive and is still a super exciting place to visit. Basically, through its history, fun tourist spots, and great sports, New Zealand shows us how to balance old and new in a really neat way and a great place to live.
